Until many years back, it was believed that Hydrogen gas has no therapeutic value, however in the last two decades, research on molecular hydrogen shows that it may be one of the most important medical gases today.
H2, the smallest molecule in the Universe, can easily penetrate the cell membrane and can be metabolized without residue. Hydrogen therapy is most conveniently applied via inhalation of pure hydrogen (lower doses) and mixed hydrogen-oxygen gas (higher doses), drinking of hydrogen-rich water and bathing in hydrogen rich water.
